The city of Las Cruces and the surrounding area—often called "the Land of Enchantment"—have a rich history that dates back to the nineteenth century. In 1848, during the Mexican–American War, the settlement of Las Cruces was founded when the United States acquired the surrounding land, which later became the New Mexico Territory. This land had been ceded to the United States in the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo of 1848, which ended the Mexican–American War.

There are many queries about where the name “Las Cruces” came from. One theory states that it was named after three crosses once located just north of the town. In the 1960s, Las Cruces undertook a large urban renewal project to convert the old downtown into a modern city center. As of 2024, the population has grown to 116,077. Whole Home Remodeling in Las Cruces

This next kitchen is from a home built in Las Cruces. It features custom cabinets and an island. Our contractors constructed this kitchen with practicality and attractiveness in mind. There is plenty of cabinet space for organization and room for cooking and prepping dishes for the family—all while embodying charm and depth through the carefully selected stains, backsplash, and tile color, which evoke Tuscan characteristics.

The second Las Cruces home build shows an open floor plan highlighting a welcoming, open space that encourages families and friends to gather and adds value to the home.

Our services at Macias Custom Homes address the whole home. The following Las Cruces projects showcase the construction of the bathrooms.

The first is a master bath with a standing shower constructed with stone-colored tile and a glass shower door. This bathroom is spacious and warm with a double sink and plenty of cabinet space. Our designers kept storage in mind with the closet that appears in the mirror, showcasing the organizational quality of this bathroom.

In the same home, an additional bathroom features a tub and shower combination designed with Tuscan characteristics in mind. This bathroom still prioritizes space with a double sink, drawers, and cabinet space. The bathroom has a clerestory window which allows natural light to enter while maintaining privacy.
